EOS Pillowtop Assembly Instructions

The EOS organic mattress ships in multiple boxes for convenience and maneuverability. It is equipped with a heavy-duty brass zipper for easy access and setup, which typically takes 15 minutes or less with two people. While two people are recommended for assembly, it's not uncommon for one person to manage. Setting up your EOS mattress yourself will familiarize you with the layers should you ever want to layer swap. The mattress encasement, as well as each layer, comes in its own respective box. If you would like your mattress setup for you, please select "In-Home Delivery" during checkout.

Step 1: Mattress Encasement

Unpack the mattress encasement and lay across the foundation or platform bed. The mattress should lay on a flat surface or on slats no more than 2-3" apart. Roll up the quilt towards the back of the mattress to allow the components to easily slide in.

Step 2: Bottom/Support Layer

OPEN ROLL-PACKED COILS
Carefully cut through the outer wrapping to release the coils. Do not cut too deep to avoid cutting the coil fabric itself. The coils will expand once fully unwrapped. The coils are encased in an organic cotton wrap for ease of handling and long-term durability. Do not remove the coils from this protective wrap.

PLACE COILS INSIDE THE MATTRESS ENCASEMENT
Lay the support coil(s) inside the mattress encasement. For queen, king and california king, be sure to align the brown strips along the outer edge of the mattress (the coils along the brown strips are firmer for edge support). For split support configurations (i.e. if you ordered different firmness levels for the left and right side of the bed), place each layer on the side you intended for that layer. For twin, twinXL, and full sizes, you will have proper edge support regardless of the orientation of the brown strips.

ALIGN WITH SEAMS
Push the coils into the encasement so that the bottom edges of the coil unit line up perfectly with the bottom seam of the mattress encasement, especially in the corners. It's supposed to be a tight fit, so don't be afraid to push and pull until everything is lined up. Failure to properly align the coils may lead to a deformed looking mattress.

Step 3: Top/Comfort Layers & Zip

Unpack the middle comfort layer(s) and place over the support coils. For split configurations, place each layer on the side you intended for that layer. Press the comfort layers to fit fully inside the encasement while lining up the edges nicely over the support layer. Zip up the bottom section while placing downward pressure along the inner materials with one hand so nothing gets caught. Be sure to keep the zipper lined up straight as you pull.

Step 4: Pillowtop Layers and Zip Quilt

Unpack the pillowtop comfort layer(s) and place in the pillowtop section. For split configurations, place each layer on the side you intended for that layer. Zip up the quilt while placing downward pressure along the inner materials with one hand so nothing gets caught. Be sure to keep the zipper lined up straight as you pull.
