Organic Sateen Crib Sheets FAQs

Sateen is a cotton fabric woven using a four-over-one-under pattern, which puts more yarn on the surface and creates a smooth, slightly lustrous finish. It's softer and more drapey than a standard percale weave, with a buttery feel that's particularly gentle against delicate skin.

Both are made from GOTS-certified organic cotton, but they have a very different feel. Sateen crib sheets are smooth, soft, and slightly silky — closer to a classic sheet texture. Muslin crib sheets are gauzy and barely-there, with a looser weave that makes them more breathable. Sateen is a great choice if you want a softer, more polished look and feel. Muslin is better if temperature regulation is your top priority, since its open weave allows more airflow.

These sheets come in several options. The standard size is designed to fit standard crib mattresses (28" x 52") up to 6 inches deep. They fit all Naturepedic standard crib mattresses and most standard crib mattresses on the market. The two oval options are designed specifically for the Stokke Sleepi V2 and V3 crib models. Please note that neither the standard nor oval options are designed for use with a mini crib.
