For most brands, December is all about holiday orders, last-minute shopping and the end-of-year rush. That’s certainly part of our world at Naturepedic, too, but it’s not what defines this season for us. Instead, December is the month our team turns outward, toward our community, toward families who need a little extra support and toward organizations doing extraordinary work every single day. It’s the month we step away from our desks, roll up our sleeves and give back in ways that remind us why we do what we do: to help people live healthier, safer, more supported lives.
This year, we’re honored to partner with several incredible local organizations whose missions inspire us. And when you choose Naturepedic during the holiday season, you’re becoming a part of that mission, too – sleeping better and doing good. Below are just a few of the initiatives your purchases help to make possible.
1. Granting Wishes Through Workshop of Wishes
Formerly A Special Wish Cleveland, Workshop of Wishes brings joy and hope to children battling life-threatening illnesses. Whether it’s a dream trip, a special experience or simply a chance to feel like a kid again, they make unforgettable moments happen.
This season, Naturepedic is sponsoring one Wish Family and helping to create a magical holiday for a wish kid and their loved ones. Once our assigned family is confirmed, we’ll be assembling personalized gifts and creating one giant holiday card filled with encouragement and warmth from our entire team.
2. Bringing Comfort to Kids at Akron Children’s Hospital
For children spending the holidays in the hospital, small comforts make a big difference. Together with Akron Children’s Hospital, our team is assembling Bedtime Bundles to help brighten nighttime routines for kids of all ages. Each bundle includes a cuddly stuffed animal, a cozy blanket, a book or game and a handwritten card from our team.
It’s a small gift with a big purpose: helping children in hospitals feel safe, soothed and remembered during a time that can feel anything but restful.
3. Giving Care and Connection for Animals in Local Shelters
Animals deserve comfort too – especially those waiting to find a permanent, loving home. This month, our team is creating handmade pet blankets and braided rope toys (yes, out of our own team’s recycled T-shirts!) to donate to local animal shelters like Rescue Village.
We’ll also be sending much-needed supplies to help shelters care for dogs and cats through the winter months. Because cozy shouldn’t be reserved only for humans!
4. Providing Holiday Joy for Families at Providence House
Providence House provides emergency shelter and care for children in crisis while working closely with families to restore stability and safety. Their work is a lifeline for parents facing unimaginable circumstances. This December, our team is shopping for holiday gifts for Providence House kids – ensuring every child in their care receives something joyful, personal, and wrapped with love.
We’ll also be including handmade cards from our staff to remind these families that they’re supported by an entire community.
5. Supporting Local Women Through R.A.K.E.
R.A.K.E. is rooted in the belief that unexpected kindness can change someone’s entire day, and, sometimes, whole life. Founded by Cleveland native Ricky Smith, R.A.K.E. brings warmth, dignity and support to people experiencing homelessness or hardship through meal programs, clothing distributions, book giveaways and hands-on volunteer outreach.
This month, our team will be packing food and comfort items alongside R.A.K.E. to help ensure more people in our community feel seen, supported, and cared for.
Extending the Impact: Helping Your Local Food Bank
In addition to our December volunteer initiatives, we’re hosting a company-wide food drive. Bring 10 nonperishable food items to any Naturepedic corporate store now through January 7, 2026, and receive a free gift – no purchase necessary.
