KEY FINDINGS

• Two in three Americans wish they could hibernate like a bear the entire winter.

• 86% of respondents love the idea of getting as cozy as possible during the winter months – a practice known to the Danish as “hygge.”

• The average person will spend more than half of the entire winter season getting cozy.

• The top three things people do to get cozy are curling up on the couch (48%), burying under a pile of blankets (46%) and enjoying the quiet (42%).

• 76% of respondents said that they get better quality sleep if they feel cozy beforehand.

• Likewise, 75% stay asleep for longer and 72% wake feeling more refreshed if they fall asleep feeling cozy.
