What’s more cooling: latex or memory foam?
Latex. Polyurethane foam (including memory foam) is a petroleum-based material that traps heat. Its porous structure also compresses as it supports you, which restricts airflow. Organic latex, on the other hand, has a natural open-cell structure that allows air to flow more freely. What’s more, the latex foam used in mattresses features small, pinprick holes that enhance breathability and promote a cooler sleep environment.
Does Naturepedic use any cooling gels or technology?
No, Naturepedic mattresses do not use any synthetic cooling gels or artificial technologies commonly found in other mattresses. We aim to minimize chemical exposure as much as possible in our GOTS certified organic, EWG VERIFIED® mattresses. Instead, we rely on naturally occurring and organic materials that are inherently cooling.
